Palma NighlifePalma de Mallorca is one of the most beautiful, cosmopolitan and interesting cities in the world, during the day and specially at night. The club scene is small but improving here and there are several discos, bars and pubs which have an international flair; many of them are located on the famous "Paseo Maritimo" or around the historic Palma "Cathedral". Another area where you can find several fancy bars and pubs is Sa Llotja. There is also a good selection of clubs, restaurants and lively bars in the "El Terreno" district, however, keep in mind that this is the centre of the gay and lesbian community in Palma. People in Palma start to go out around 10.00pm and bars/clubs stay open until 3 or 4am; however, late night drinking and dancing goes on in thePasseig Maritim where discobares or "discotecas" stay open until 5 or 6am. Also, throughout the year, you'll find here a full programme of concerts, exhibitions, festivals and theatre productions.
