Explore Palma
The majority of visitors to Palma de Majorca head straight for the beaches, that's a shame as the city has many places to know. Palma has a lot of history, a delicious cuisine, a lively nightlife, excellent museums, lovely parks and castles, etc. And the best of all is that you can explore all of those places by foot.
Some of Palma's best attractions are to be found near the port, including the Royal Palace, the Stock Exchange and the Castle of Bellver. However, Palma's pride and joy is the Cathedral of Palma, which is one of the world's finest and largest Gothic structures. In the same way, the most important street in Palma, "el Passeig des Born" is a commercial centre with several bars, shops and restaurants.
There are several places to see and know in Palma; most of these places are located around the old town. The "Old Town" is a maze of narrow streets, flanked by ancient mansions and hidden squares.
