The "Botanical and Historical Garden of La Concepcion", is other touristic attraction in the beautiful Malaga. La Concepcion is one of the most important tropical gardens in Spain. It was created by the Marquess of Loring and it has 150 years of history. The origins of this splendid garden can be traced back to the integration of several estates. The garden is home to around 5000 different plant;, that is why it can be considered as one of the best displays of tropical flora in all Europe.
Once there, you can appreciate the impressive flora that includes giant araucarias, bamboos, cycads, and a beautiful range of flowers. In spring, one of its highlights is the flowering of the enormous "wisteria". In summer, you can appreciate pools populated by water lilies and enjoy walking around the garden.

The Botanical Garden "El Retiro", one of the most original gardens in Malaga city, is a good place to relax. It is located inside El Parque del Retiro (Retiro Park.) Within this park, there are three areas: the Ornithology section, the Botanic Garden and the last one, where it is possible to appreciate fountains and statues. The botanical garden has around 800 species of plants. The spectacular trees, altogether with their varied collection of tropical birds make this place a paradise where visitors can have a good time.
