Dishes in the "Escuela de Hostería" are no mere student experiments, but carefully crafted dishes. Freshly caught merluza (hake) is perfectly prepared with zesty mussels and mushrooms in a parsley-laced sauce, a loin of beef broiled and served with a red-wine sauce. Another specialty is ham-covered filet of pork served with a Málaga wine sauce.

Parador de Málaga-Gibralfaro

Prices: Main courses 11€-23€ ($13-$28); fixed-price menu 25€ ($30)
The service in "El Parador de Málaga-Gibralfaro" is exemplary, together with all the nice little free appetizers and aperitifs, make of this restaurant one of the best choices. Also, you'll enjoy fantastic view of the city, especially from the terrace. Featured dishes include hors d'oeuvres parador (your entire table will covered with tiny dishes full of tasty tidbits), omelet of chanquetes, tiny whitefish and chicken Villaroi.
