Maps of Madrid


It is the capital of Spain and the capital of the autonomous community of Madrid, which has only the province of Madrid. The city is located in the central area of the Iberian Peninsula, a few kilometers north of Cerro de Los Angeles. The coordinates of the city are 40°26'N 3°41'O and it is 667 meters above sea level, being one of the highest capitals of Europe. The city spans a total of 604.3 km² (233.3 sq mi).
This community is bordered by the autonomous communities of Castile and León and Castile-La Mancha. Madrid is administratively divided into 21 districts: Centro, Arganzuela, Retiro, Salamanca, Chamartín, Tetuán, Chamberí, Fuencarral-El Pardo, Moncloa-Aravaca, Latina, Carabanchel, Usera,Puente de Vallecas, Moratalaz, Ciudad Lineal, Hortaleza, Villaverde, Villa de Vallecas, Vicálvaro, San Blas and Barajas.
