La Latina and Lavapiés: the Rastro area

To the south of the city you can find interesting areas such as La Latina and Lavapiés. This is the city's most diverse, artistic, and un-touristed neighborhood. In Lavapiés you can find the famous Rastro flea market, the Reina Sofia Museum of Art, Embajadores and la Ronda de Atocha. To experience the Lavapies night life, you'll have to stay up past your American bedtime.
