Ibiza is most famously known for its summer parties, with thousands of people flooding in for the big summer club nights. Most famous clubs in Ibiza include: Privilege (the largest club in the world), Eden (the busiest nightclub in Sant Antoni), Es Paradís (noted for its water parties), Amnesia (known for foam parties), Space (an afterparty club) and Pacha, among others. These clubs are hosts to parties of international fame such as Cream, Manumission, Fuck Me I'm Famous, etc. It is also home to the 'West End' party district of Sant Antoni, a rite of passage for many party-goers.

During the summer, world class DJs such as Paul Van Dyk, Sasha & Digweed & Seb Fontaine perform at the various clubs on weekly schedules, in between touring to other international destinations.

ť AMNESIA

Located on the road between Ibiza town and San Rafael, Amnesia is a truly stunning club, famed as the first open air disco on the island. Amnesia is celebrated as host of the best gay party in Ibiza, namely La Troya Asesina. Another parties are "Cream" and "Cocoom". Also, occasionally, Boy George acts as resident DJ. Amnesia has theme nights, such as "God's Kitchen" and plays the latest mix of house and trans music. However, it's the presence of Barcelona born DJ Oliver that really gives Amnesia it's kick, combined with a supremo sound system.

Prepare yourself for one of the best laser shows of all time; and a dry ice machine which emits huge jets of cold air through vents in the dance floor. The entrance fee for the parties Cream and Cocoon costs from 30 to 55, depending on the month. Entry on other days costs between 20 and 30. Spirit and mixers cost 12 or more and a beer 10. The bars upstairs are more expensive.

Privilege Ibiza bills itself as the world's largest nightclub with a capacity of 10,000. Privilegio is certainly one of Ibiza's most flamboyant and best known mega-clubs. Originally called Ku, the club first began life as a restaurant in the 1970's. The main room is aircraft-hangar size with a 25-meter high roof, and a swimming pool. Privilege hosts the incredible Manumission party on Fridays, which costs up to 60. Other nights vary between 20 and 50. There are often free tickets in Ibiza Town and San Antonio for the lesser known promoters' nights. A vodka limon costs approx. 10 and a beer 8. Privilege's building was where the video to 'Barcelona' by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe was filmed in 1987.

SpaceClub Ibiza, Playa D'en Bossa 971 396793

Regarded by many as the finest club in the world. Space has a variety of music to offer, from techno to house grooves to electro mayhem. Now Spaces has 5 different music areas. This was one of the world's first ever after-hours club; the partying here continues until mid-afternoon. Find it at Playa d'en Boss near Ibiza town. The entrance fee costs 30 to 60 for the the Sunday Sessions, depending on the month. Entry on other days costs between 30 and 40 . A Vodka Lemon costs 10 and a beer 8 .

Pacha became famous throughout the world as a haven for glamorous hippies and indeed Ricardo's son Piti's Flower Power production still wows them on occasional Sundays. There are 15 bars, open air garden terraces overlooking Ibiza town, a restaurant and sushi bar. An institution, and the first club to open here back in 1973. There are now over 70 Pacha's around the world. Admission fee costs from 30 to 60 for most nights, the price increases as the island gets busier and the parties get more popular. A stylish club in one of the most beautiful locations at Ibiza marina. It's a favourite haunt with the rich and famous yacht-owning set. The UK's Miss Moneypenny's is a long time partner and recently took over the Friday night slot. Hed Kandi, Salvacion, Azuli and San Francisco's Om Records have also made El Divino their summer home.
