Ibiza Beaches


Ibiza is not only known for its clubs and its night lifestyle. One of its best attractions is definitely its beaches. These beaches are considered, by many people, as the best in all of Spain. You can find 56 beaches around Ibiza, and most of them are only accessible by boat. With golden, white sands, and crystal waters, Ibiza's beaches look like true paradises.
An interesting feature is that one can find many nudists and gay beaches, such as "Es Cavallet" and "The Molinos." So, one of the main reasons to visit Ibiza is that no matter where you are, you always will find any exotic beaches near you.
The following is a list with some of the most important beaches in Ibiza.
- Cala Mastella
Cala Mastella, is a beautiful small beach located in the San Carlos area; an interesting feature is that it is surrounded by pine wood. Near to Cala Mastella you can find many restaurants that offer many traditional Spanish dishes.
- Salinas
Salinas is another beautiful beach with golden sand and crystal water and it is located between Punta de la Roma and De sa Torre. There are many ways to get to Salinas' Beach: by bus, by bicycle or by simply walking. You can go by car if you know how to follow the signs and deviations.
- Cala d'Hort
An amazing beach is definitely Cala d'Hort, also known as "Vegetable Garden". Cala d'Hort is widely visited by a lot of tourists because it has stunning views of the mystical islands of Es Vedra and Es Vedranell.
- Cala Tarida
Cala Tarida is a small but amazing beach. If you're driving a car, Cala Tarida is 10 minutes away from San José and 15 minutes away from San Antonio. Cala Tarida has a size of 900 meters long and 25 meters wide, where you can practice many water sports such as scuba diving, volleyball, and beach soccer.
- Es Cavallet
Es Cavallet is another beautiful beach that contains crystal water. This is one of the most occupied beaches by gays and lesbians.
- Playa d'en Bossa
With a size of 2 kilometers long and 20 - 30 meters wide, this beach is considered as one of the longest beaches in the island. Playa d'En Bossa is located at 2.5 kilometers from Ibiza, between Punta de sa Mata and es Viver.
- Cala llonga
Cala llonga is definitely, one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Ibiza. This beach is located four kilometers away from Santa Eulària des Riu. Cala llonga, as most beaches of Ibiza, has crystal water and golden sand and it's surrounded by hills.
