Alcoholic Drinks
There are several bars around Spain; and besides the legal age in Spain of 18, the enforcement in tourist and clubbing areas is lax. Travelers consider bars the best place to meet new people, because you can talk with someone else while enjoying a drink. Bars in Spain are mostly used to have a drink with a small tapa (typical Spanish snack); this practice is known among Spanish people as "Tapeo". Bars usually offer a large list of alcoholic drinks including Spanish specialties such as Horchataor Calimocho.
Locals in Spain usually drink Cava, a Spanish sparkling wine, which for a long time Spanish called champagne, a habit that did not sit very well with the French. Another popular alcoholic drink is Sangria, made of wine and fruit and usually drunk during festivals and parties.
