Alcoholic Drinks

Spain is widely known by its delicious wines. In fact, Spain is, behind France and Italy, one of the largest producer of wine in the world. Spain has been known from the production of fortified wines and the best known Spanish wine is considered by some to be the fortified wine Sherry, which is produced in the region surrounding Jerezde la Frontera. In the same way, another regions where it's produced quality wines include: Ribera del Duero in Castilla-León which makes Spain's most expensive wine, Vega Sicilia, besides other outstanding reds (Pesquera, Viña Pedrosa and Senorio de Nava).

As well as its quality, Spain produces about 11 varieties that range from the generous dry wines, through to the sparkling wines, the rose and the valuable gran reservas. So, there is a wine for every occasion and every type of meal. On the other hand, 18 is the official drinking age in Spain, but this law is not very well enforced.
