Barcelona, located at the Mediterranean sea, is certainly the most cosmopolitan and economically most active city in this country. Due to its good climate and its cultural offerings, Barcelona is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. In fact, Barcelona houses over 45 renowned museums and is famous for its unique contemporary architecture and the famous works of architect Antoni Gaudí as "La Sagrada Familia", "Park Güell", "Palau Güell", the "Casa Milà" (La Pedrera) and the Casa Batlló. This ciry has many shopping centers as well, like L'Illa, Diagonal Mar (located on opposite ends of Diagonal Avenue), La Maquinista, Glòries (located near the square of the same name) and the Maremagnum, located at the port.
