Arrival Barcelona by CarBarcelona is an hour and a half's (150 km) drive away from La Jonquera - the French border - and the motorways connect to the city’s ring roads. The A-7 motorway links the Mediterranean motorway with France, and provides easy access to the tourist facilities on the Costa Brava and other regions of Girona. The French motorway network connects to the AP-7 - C33 Barcelona motorway. You can enter the city via the ring roads or the Avinguda Meridiana which leads to the centre. In the other hand, if you’re entering from the south, from the rest of Spain , then join the AP-2 motorway and enter the city via the Avinguda Diagonal. Keep in mind that traffic can be heavy in the city centre and at the main entry points of the city during rush hour. The A-2 motorway leads to Zaragoza, from where you can go on to Madrid or Bilbao.
