Approximately 1.500.000 commuters are daily transported by local trains. Thanks to this service, Madrilenians can arrive faster to the city centers. For instance, the RENFE Cercanías reaches the outskirts of Madrid and cover almost all the city. You can take any of its fast trains at the underground Cercanias stations and visit tourist destinations such as Aranjuez, Alcalá de Henares and El Escorial.

The RENFE Cercanias reaches several places and nearby cities such as Chinchon, Avila, Segovia, and Toledo, among others. Likewise, it provides comfortable seats, good prices, air-conditioning and heating services. The main stations are the following: Méndez Alvaro, Chamartín, Aluche, Príncipe Pío, Embajadores, Nuevos Ministerios, Delicias and Recoletos.
