Madrid weather, as the weather everywhere in the world, depends on its location; due to high altitude; this city experiences different temperatures in summer and winter; as locals say: “You’ll find 9 months of winter and 3 months of hell”. We give you some information about all seasons in Madrid and the things that you’ll need because, thankfully, the weather in Madrid is fairly predictable.
Winter in Spain (Dec- Feb): As you’ll see, every year starts and ends cold in Spain; we recommend long trousers, sweaters and a stout coat; wearing a scarf and gloves may be appropriate.
Spring in Spain (March-May): Spring is the most popular season to go to the beach because temperature starts to pick up. You can wear a light jacket, light trousers and a shirt.
Summer in Spain (June -August): It’s the hottest season and most cities get unbearably hot; many establishments are closed due to vacations. Wearing shorts is the best option in order to avoid the heat you may want to wear open shoes as well.
Fall in Spain (September-November): Temperatures are warm but not as hot as in summer and you may find risk of rain shower.
