Walking across the Avenue of Art (Paseo del Arte) you’ll have the opportunity to visit 3 important museumsusing only a voucher in any time of year: The museum del Prado, the National Art Center of Reina Sofia and Thyssen.

» Museo del Prado
It’s a museum very popular among locals and tourists because hosts many paintings and art works from famous artists including Goya, Murillo, Rizi and Rubens; Exhibitions change every so often and the museum is open for longer hours with educational programs and conferences.

» Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (MNCARS)
The Museum Reina Sofia and simply The Sofia are some informal names of Spain’s national museum of 20th century art; it’s dedicated to Spanish art, especially collections of two re-known artists: Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali among other artists such as Juan Gris, Joan Miro Antoni Tapies, Pablo Serrano and more.

» Museo Arqueológico Nacional
The National Archaeological Museum is located beside Columbus Square (Plaza de Colon), initially the National Archaeological Museum hosted numismatic, archaeological, and art collections but after it was remodeled, the museum includes Pre-historic, Celtic, Iberian, and Roman antiquities.

» Museo Naval
The Museo Naval hosts important pieces conserved by the Navy from the Catholic Monarchs till nowadays; the collections are in chronological order and include nautical instruments, artillery, maps, beautiful ship models and many paintings of naval scenes.

» Museo del Aire
The Air Museum (Museo del Aire)is located at Cuatro Vientos Air Base and hosts a beautiful collection of aircraft (hundreds of miniature models) and more than 150 real planes and helicopters. Most of the planes in the exhibitions hace previously served in the Spanish Air Force.

» Museo Municipal
The Museo de Historia de Madrid, previously known as The Museo Municipal is located in the central district of Madrid, in Fuencarral Street. The museum is characterized by its thematic collections, and among its most representatives artworks are: the Alegoria de Madrid by Francisco de Goya, The Virgin with Saint Fernando by Luca Giordano and others.
