Ibiza is definitely one of the best attractions that you can find in Spain. Also called Vila d' Eivissa, this amazing city is located in the Mediterranean Sea. Covering an area of 585 km2, Ibiza is the third largest of the Balearic Islands and its population is about 11,482 inhabitants; this makes Ibiza the most populated Balearic Island.

Ibiza has been occupied too many types by different invaders. Ibiza became a colony of Carthage in 700BC. Then it was conquered by the Romans. The Arabs stayed there for almost 500 years and constructed a mosque. Then it was invaded by the Catalans, who created and settled their churches all around the town. Ibiza also had to deal with Pirates who wanted to ransack the town. If you want to know a little more about all these invasions, you can visit Ibiza where you will still find some archeological remains around the city.

One of the most important Ibiza's tourist attractions are definitely its beaches of white and golden sands and crystal waters. Ibiza beaches are considered as the best beaches in Europe. Ibiza is also the perfect destination to enjoy water sports such as surf, scuba diving and snorkeling.

Due to its mild weather, you can visit any of its 56 beaches at any time of the year. You can find hotels of every kind near the beaches: from cheap & comfortable hotels to luxurious and pleasant hotels. But if you do not like to stay in a hotel and you like the nature, you can also camp in any of the beaches. Traveling to Ibiza is an experience that you will not regret.

The city of Ibiza
Ciudad de Ibiza, which was founded by the Carthaginians 2,500 years ago, is located on top of a small hill.
