Huelva Travel Guide

Huelva is a maritime town that is surrounded by two rivers in southwestern Spain: the River Guadalquivir and the River Odiel. It is also the capital of the Huelva province; it belongs to the autonomous region of Andalusía. Historically, Huelva, during the invasions to the region of Spain, took several names, such as:
  • Onoba
  • Onoba Aestuaria or Onuba
  • And Walbah.
Also, it was one of the most important ports in Spain, since the countryside of the city used to export the mining products to other cities. Now, the port of Huelva is divided in two parts:

  • The inner port - It is the wharf where small traffic and touristic boats pass.
  • The outer port - it is the main port of the city. Although it is not next to the city, it is the most important in Huelva.
Huelva is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain because it mixes the ancient and modern cultures, and of course, there is a wonderful weather. You are going to love Huelva.
