Barcelona is a very liberal city in which many gay and lesbian people have found a place to spend their spare time and to organize events. Being a beautiful city with the most attractive beaches, it is a good thing that Barcelona is a city that’s open to cultural diversity and activities.
A place where you can find a great number of gay bars and clubs is the district of L'Eixample, which is located in the center of the city. You can find an incredibly big arrival of gay and lesbian people; it has become the favorite place for the gay and lesbian community.
In L’Eixample you can also find accommodations at very reasonable prices, as well as cafés, bars and shops; some of them are frequented for gay and lesbian people only. It is a very entertaining place to visit since everyone is trying to spend a good time in a foreign city.
Sitges is also a place where there is a big concentration of gay and lesbian people. The Girlie Circuit Festival, a lesbian big festival, is performed in Sitges. It is a big event; it lasts an entire week with parties at night and sport & cultural events during the day. It is one of the most important gay festivals in all Europe.
Of course gay and lesbian people do not only gather in the cities mentioned above. Barcelona is a broad minded city that holds no prejudices. Barcelona, a city that has a great history and a lot of cultural attractions, is an example of cultural diversity, history, beauty and art that converge to create a distinguished and memorable city.
