Contrary to popular belief, there’s only one airport properly acknowledge to the city of Barcelona with the code BCN, El Prat de Llobregat, although some airlines will market a trip to Barcelona and land you in Gerona Airport, around 100 km from the city and an hour and 10 minutes away instead of the 10km and thirty minutes of distance of the El Prat Airport. Still if the trip suits your pocket both airports have easy access to the city of Barcelona and from one airport to the other as well.

Worth mentioning is The Sabadell Airport, an aerodrome in Sabadell city 10km away from Barcelona used for training flights of Airplanes, helicopters and pilot training.

El Prat de Llobregat Airport receives flights from all over the world and vice versa, it's located in the town of the same name, 3 km away from Barcelona. This is Spain's second-largest airport & the largest on the Mediterranean coast. It’s connected to city by highway, commuter train and scheduled bus service.

The airport has two terminal buildings, "T1" and "T2", the latter is divided in two areas "A" and "B". El Prat splits the landing in each terminal building according to the airline. You can arrival to Barcelona by air.
